Priority Climate Action Plan

SANDAG was awarded a Climate Pollution Reduction Grant by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct climate action planning in the region with the goal of reducing harmful air pollution.

SANDAG worked with local governments, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to create a Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) and published it in March 2024. It identifies measures that can be implemented quickly to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improve air quality in the San Diego region.
