SANDAG provides a variety of competitive grant programs to local jurisdictions, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and transportation partners. Through SANDAG grant programs, we allocate millions of dollars each year in local, state, and federal funds to create safer streets. promote travel choices, increase connectivity, expand ways for older adults and individuals with disabilities to get around the region, and protect the environment and conserve native habitats.
Grant programs cycle through three major stages: program updates tied to Regional Plan efforts or other areas, a competitive call for projects, and implementation.
