SANDAG to Host Free Telework Webinars April 2- 3

Telework Webinars to Provide Support for Local Businesses and Employees Navigating a New Normal

March 31, 2020-- The SANDAG iCommute team will host free telework webinars to support regional employers and employees in the shift to teleworking amid the COVID-19 crisis. 

Webinar One: New to Telework Culture? How to overcome challenges and prepare employees for success

Thursday, April 2, 11 a.m.

Learn how employers are juggling equipment and IT requirements, communication systems, and setting up new protocols with employees, while keeping the lights on for customers and business operations. Brian Nordmann, Chief Information Officer at Dudek, and Domenic Lupo, Department Manager of Transportation Planning at AECOM, will highlight what has worked well for their organizations and the challenges they have overcome.

Webinar Two: Seasoned Telework Programs: Expanding and adapting for company-wide remote work

Friday, April 3, 11 a.m.

Learn tips from employers and teleworkers with existing telework programs. The focus will be on overcoming challenges when shifting the rest of an organization’s workforce to working remotely. Productivity and communication tips will be provided. Tom Harrington, Global Commute Solutions Leader at Intuit, and Melissa Coffelt, Director of Organization Effectiveness at SANDAG will share advice to rapidly expand employers’ telework programs.
