Georgia – Meade Bikeway Community Open House

Date: 5/10/16 - 5/10/16

You're invited to a community open house for the Georgia – Meade Bikeway project. Staff will be available to discuss project details, answer questions, and gather input on this regional bikeway connection. The open house will be held at the Lafayette Hotel, Mississippi Ballroom, 2223 El Cajon Blvd in San Diego.

The Georgia – Meade Bikeway will provide a vital connection for people to walk and bike between vibrant communities within San Diego’s urban core - North Park, Normal Heights, and Kensington-Talmadge.

The proposed 3.5-mile bikeway also will provide connections to several regional bikeways. The Georgia – Meade Bikeway will run along Georgia Street between Robinson Avenue and Howard Avenue, shift to Howard Avenue for one block, and continue on Florida Street to Meade Avenue. The bikeway will run along Meade Avenue between Park Boulevard and Fairmount Avenue.

Proposed features include buffered bike lanes, raised crosswalks, and traffic calming measures designed to make the streets more pleasant for everyone - people who walk, bike, drive cars, work, and live there.
