Interstate 5 (I-5) South corridor improvements include a series of transportation projects along I-5 in southern San Diego County, extending south from the University City area in the City of San Diego and the I-5 North Coast Corridor. Projects include interchange and freeway connection upgrades, safety improvements, additional travel lanes, operational improvements to reduce congestion, and enhancements that support transit, carpooling, biking, and pedestrian access.
