I-8 Corridor Improvements

Interstate 8 (I-8) is an important east-west freeway that starts in the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego and runs all the way to Arizona. Travelers on I-8 pass through Mission Valley, La Mesa, and El Cajon plus rural and tribal lands before climbing the Cuyamaca Mountains. It is a major commuter route that connects to I-5, I-805, I-15, and several state highways.

With our partners, we are making improvements to this corridor to help people get where they need to go more quickly, safely, and efficiently while supporting the local economy.
