The following SR 125 Toll Road ramps will be temporarily closed as crews install and test new tolling equipment:

 

• Northbound on-ramp from westbound Otay Lakes Road—westbound traffic will be routed to U-turn at Saint Claire Drive and proceed onto the northbound loop on-ramp.
• Southbound off-ramp at Exit 6/Olympic Parkway—southbound drivers should plan to take either Exit 7/Otay Lakes Road or Exit 5/Birch Road.

 

The closure is scheduled from 8 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, through 6 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22. *

 

Installing new tolling equipment is one of the steps SANDAG is taking to enhance technology along the SR 125 Toll Road and I-15 Express Lanes. Closing lanes and diverting traffic allows crews to safely complete work throughout the length of the project. Detour signage will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. If work progresses ahead of schedule, the closure will reopen early.

 

SANDAG began upgrading tolling equipment on SR 125 in late 2021 and anticipates completion by the end of 2023. New roadway equipment was previously installed on the I-15 Express Lanes in 2019 and 2020.
