The self-pay lane at the southbound SR 125 toll plaza will be temporarily closed as crews install and test new equipment. Attendants will be available at the other two lanes between 5 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. to assist with toll payments. The closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. on Monday, April 24, through 7 a.m. on Monday, May 15. *

Installing new tolling equipment is one of the steps SANDAG is taking to enhance technology along the SR 125 Toll Road and I-15 Express Lanes. Closing lanes and diverting traffic allows crews to safely complete work throughout the length of the project. Detour signage will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. If work progresses ahead of schedule, the closure will reopen early.
SANDAG began upgrading tolling equipment on SR 125 in late 2021 and anticipates completion by the end of 2023. New roadway equipment was previously installed on the I-15 Express Lanes in 2019 and 2020.
