Census Data for Grant Writers Workshop

Location choices: Online via webinar or in person at SANDAG, 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101

SANDAG offices are conveniently located in downtown San Diego one block from the 5th Avenue Trolley stop. Other transit stops are nearby. Participants are encouraged to take public transit.
 
Parking is available in the building’s parking structure at a cost of $24 (3 hours or more). Other parking is available at nearby parking lots. SANDAG will not be able to provide parking validation for these workshops.

This free, hands on workshop is geared toward grant writing professional and individuals interested in learning the basics of using census data in grant proposal writing. Workshop participants will learn where to locate census demographics to help build an effective case for project funding.

Workshop topics include:

•         Census Concepts and Geography
•         Navigating the Census Website
•         Understanding Census Data Products
•         Presenting Data in a Grant Proposal

Participants learn by doing through online access of mapping tools, tables, and other government grant writing resources.
