Interactive Maps

Explore the region with our interactive mapping applications. Easy to understand point-and-click interfaces make customized map displays fast and easy.

Highway Hot Spots & Volumes Tracker

The SANDAG Highway Hot Spots & Volumes Tracker is a one-stop data source that tracks weekday month-by-month vehicle miles traveled on local highways, including traffic speeds and average daily traffic volumes at ten traffic hotspots.

SB 743 Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Maps

The SB 743 VMT Maps provide an estimate of personal vehicle travel by residents and employees within the San Diego region. California Office of Planning and Research (OPR) released a Technical Advisory on Evaluating Transportation Impacts in CEQA and the maps provided by SANDAG are an interpretation of the guidelines provided as a resource to the jurisdictions in our region to use as they see fit.

Please read the SB 743 Data Disclaimer prior to using the interactive map. Additional information can be found in the SB743 Documentation.

Traffic Forecast Information Center

Get quick access to forecasted average weekday traffic volumes for freeways, freeway ramps, and major roads with TFIC. Select individual roadway segments to obtain additional information including street name, type of roadway, number of lanes, and posted speed. Recent enhancements include trip generation and land use forecasts for small geographic areas.

Parcel Lookup Tool (and Geographic Boundary Viewer)

A collaborative effort between SanGIS and SANDAG providing an online mapping tool to view a wide range of publicly available data layers. Our interactive map contains layers covering features such as property (parcels), district and municipal boundaries, and census geographies. The interactive map also includes the regional basemap, which was developed through the regional basemap project. The Parcel Lookup Tool incorporates the geographic boundaries previously available in the now retired SANDAG Geographic Boundary Viewer application. The underlying data available through the interactive map are updated on a monthly basis.

With the Parcel Lookup Tool users are able to:

  • Find a parcel by address or Assessor Parcel Number
  • View a wide variety of geographic boundaries by thematic category
  • Turn on and off different layers of data so you see only the information you need
  • Print the finished map or save it to a digital file (depending on your system)
  • Generate a parcel report that includes the parcel's relationship with special districts, planning and statistical areas, and ecological layers

The Parcel Lookup Tool is intended primarily for parcel lookup and viewing geographic boundary information. It does not intend to recreate interactive or static map services provided by the City or County of San Diego. Visit the SanGIS GIS Links page for a list of other maps provided by JPA partners.

Go to the Parcel Lookup Tool to get started.

Please note: Parcel Lookup Tool performance may vary depending on the computer operating system or the web browser being used.

The SanGIS Interactive Map data and tools are provided only for the user's convenience and no warranty is made as to the accuracy of the data. The user must read and be aware of the full use disclaimer. Please read the SanGIS Legal Notice and the SANDAG Data Disclaimer prior to using the Parcel Lookup Tool.
