Notice of Public Meeting - Social Services Transportation Advisory Council

The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) is an advisory group to SANDAG consisting of 17 members representing social service agencies, individuals, transportation providers, and the Consolidated Transportation Services Agency. The California Public Utilities Code requires SSTAC hold at least one public meeting each year for the purpose of soliciting input on transportation needs from seniors, persons with disabilities, and persons with limited means. The meeting also provides an opportunity for public comment on the proposed Coordinated Public Transit and Human Services Transportation Plan (Coordinated Plan) being prepared by SANDAG.

Members of the public are invited to provide testimony at the upcoming SSTAC meeting, which will be held in the SANDAG offices in Downtown San Diego, or via video conference from the office of North County Transit District in Oceanside.

At the meeting, SANDAG staff will provide a brief presentation on the Coordinated Plan for San Diego County. The Coordinated Plan includes strategies for better coordinating public transit and human service transportation and helps drive funding decisions for multiple specialized transportation grants. This public hearing coincides with the public comment period for the draft Coordinated Plan. Individuals attending the meeting are encouraged to provide comments on the Coordinated Plan or raise other issues pertinent to transportation needs of seniors, persons with disabilities, and low-income individuals.

The meeting locations are accessible by public transit. Dial 511 or see for route information.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, SSTAC will accommodate persons who require assistance in order to participate at these meetings. If such assistance is required, please contact SANDAG at (619) 699-1900 at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.
