Senior Project Financial Analyst

Salary Range:
$79,537.00 - $123,282.00 Annually

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is seeking to hire a limited term Senior Project Financial Analyst to provide a full range of project finance, financial analysis and reporting, and project management functions including project cost projections, budget, analysis, and tracking, development, and implementation of project finance performance measures.

This is an exciting position in which you will be part of the team working on the Otay Mesa East Port of Entry (OME) project which aims to enhance regional mobility and binational trade with a border crossing between San Diego and Baja California. Ideal Candidate

This position is ideal for a seasoned financial analyst with a strong experience in project finance and forecasting and budgeting who has an extensive technical background with exceptional analytical capabilities and organizational skills and the ability to maintain work quality while meeting numerous timesensitive deadlines.

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience with project finance and financial analysis, planning and forecasting
  • Experience and skills with financial modeling and proforma development for large size construction projects
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and reporting requirements pertaining to government finance is desirable
  • Ability to research and analyze financial issues, evaluate alternative solutions, and present recommendations to management
  • Experience performing balance sheet account reconciliations, reconciling general ledger accounts; ability to analyze, reconcile financial data; ability to identify errors and make corrections to financial records

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

The minimum education, training, and experience qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in finance, accounting, or a related field and five years of increasingly responsible, professional experience, preferably with financial management for construction projects. A Master’s degree is desirable.
