RCP Workshop - Encinitas

Date: 4/17/04 - 4/17/04

Public Workshop - Still time to look to the future

More than a year in the making, the Regional Comprehensive Plan serves as the long-term planning framework for the San Diego region. It lays a foundation to connect city and regional policy decisions that support our shared vision of the future. It balances population, housing, and employment growth with habitat preservation, agriculture, open space, and infrastructure needs.

The six workshops will be structured in an “open house” format to provide an informal setting where residents can ask questions, discuss issues, and offer comments and feedback on the draft RCP and its draft Program Environmental Impact Report.

These workshops present another opportunity for residents to come together as a community to weigh in on important issues that will affect our region’s future. Please join us.

A draft Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR) has been prepared for the Regional Comprehensive Plan. SANDAG invites comments from residents, organizations, and agencies on the environmental information that has been addressed in the draft Program EIR. Public input on the draft Program EIR can be submitted in writing or to the court reporter at the workshops or submitted in writing to SANDAG by May 13, 2004.
