Notice of Public Hearings - Social Services Transportation Advisory Council

The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) works to respond to federal and state requirements, as well as local concerns, and involvement in accessibility issues. Responsibilities include review and guidance on federal funding programs for the elderly and disabled, coordination of vehicles for elderly and disabled persons, special studies, and providing input on the legal and practical requirements regarding accessibility at transit facilities.

SSTAC Public Hearing

The California Public Utilities Code requires SSTAC to hold at least one public meeting each year to solicit input on transportation needs from seniors, persons with disabilities, and persons with limited means.

Members of the public are invited to provide testimony at the upcoming SSTAC meeting, which will be held at SANDAG offices in Downtown San Diego and at the North County Transit District in Oceanside via teleconference. The public is invited to attend at either location.
