The LOSSAN Board of Directors is soliciting qualified proposals from member agencies in order to determine the most qualified agency to serve as the Managing Agency of the state-supported intercity passenger rail service in the corridor.
Specifically, the Managing Agency will (1) negotiate the transfer of authority with the state and (2) pending this negotiation, manage the day-to-day intercity rail operations.
Senate Bill 1225 (SB 1225, Padilla) authorizes the LOSSAN Joint Powers Authority (LOSSAN Agency) to take on these responsibilities.
