Public Workshop -- How Does Our Region Grow?

Date: 9/11/03 - 9/11/03

You talked. We listened. And now drafting the Regional Comprehensive Plan (RCP) is underway. Hundreds of San Diego region residents were involved in the first round of workshops to launch the preparation of the plan. We’re hitting the road again to ask for more input in planning for the region’s future.

What does the future hold for the San Diego region? Tomorrow is full of promise; however, we’re faced with a number of challenges like providing more housing, improving traffic flow, expanding quality infrastructure, and preserving the environment.

The Regional Comprehensive Plan will help us to meet these challenges. It’s an important effort that will really make a positive and lasting difference to better our quality of life.

SANDAG and partner agencies and organizations invite you to attend one of our new, interactive workshops in the coming weeks. Your involvement is important as decisions are made that affect our communities and our region’s development, transportation, environment, housing, and economy.

Public Scoping for EIR
An Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be prepared for the Regional Comprehensive Plan. SANDAG invites comments from residents or agencies on the scope and content of the environmental information that will be addressed in the EIR. Public input will be taken at these workshops and can be submitted in writing to SANDAG by 10/31/03.
