Join SANDAG at Family Energy Day SANDAG
and Street Smart San Diego

Join SANDAG on September 12 at the California Center for Sustainable Energy’s Family Energy Day and Street Smart San Diego. The SANDAG booth will feature information on efforts to develop the first regional transportation plan in the state with a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from passenger vehicles, and tips on smart alternatives to driving solo. After finding out about regional transportation plans, stop by the SANDAG iCommute booth to learn how your commute choices make a difference in greenhouse gas emissions.

At this free event, you will have a chance to speak with experts on how to save energy and money, take a test drive of pre-market electric cars, meet celebrity race car driver and environmental activist Leilani Münter, eat free food, and have the chance to win great prizes! There will be live entertainment on a solar-powered stage, solar cooking, and games. Attendees can also play soccer with a ball that produces and stores electrical power. The event location is at the California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) office at 8690 Balboa Ave., San Diego, CA 92123.

In addition to the Family Energy Day and Street Smart San Diego event, CCSE also will host the Clean Energy Conference. The conference will bring together a broad cross section of business leaders, energy experts, industry contractors, and policymakers to discuss our most pressing clean energy issues and opportunities. Network, learn best practices, and explore the latest in energy policies, financing, technologies, and more. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 16 at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 West Harbor Drive, San Diego.
