Express your commute during Rideshare Week
Rideshare Week is October 6 – 10 and is promoted in cities throughout the U.S. This year, SANDAG has a number of activities planned to celebrate Rideshare Week in San Diego.

As part of Rideshare Week, SANDAG is hosting a free workshop for employers to get the latest information on commuting. Please join SANDAG on Wednesday, October 8, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Rancho Bernardo Marriot Courtyard, 11611 Bernardo Plaza Court, San Diego, 92128.
New I-15 Express Lanes now open
A new 4.5-mile section of I-15 Express Lanes opened on Monday, September 22. The new segment of the four-lane “expressway within a freeway” stretches from SR 56 to Rancho Bernardo Road.
511 honors one millionth caller
During a period of soaring gas prices, SANDAG honored a North County woman as the one millionth caller to its 511 traffic and commuter service – sooner than expected as calls have jumped during the run up in fuel prices.
Adult arrestee positive drug tests decline
It is getting harder to buy some types of illegal drugs in San Diego County and fewer arrestees have them in their bloodstreams when they are taken into custody, according to a SANDAG study of adult arrestee drug use in the region.
Preventing crime and youth violence: What works?
As part of a recently completed review of the literature for the San Diego County Probation Department that focused on identifying effective youth interventions, the Criminal Justice Research Division of SANDAG described research that found what program components are most and least effective when working with youth.
Draft 2008 Congestion Management Program Update

On September 19, 2008, the SANDAG Transportation Committee released the regional Draft 2008 Congestion Management Program (CMP) Update for a 30-day public comment period ending October 22, 2008.
Next SANDAG Board of Directors meeting scheduled for September 26
The next SANDAG Board of Directors business meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2008, at 9 a.m. Members of the public not in attendance may listen live to this meeting by accessing the "Listen Live" link from the SANDAG Web site home page approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
