Join us October 8 for a Rideshare Week is October 6 - 10
free employer workshop

Rideshare Week is October 6 – 10 and is promoted in cities throughout the U.S. Rideshare Week is designed to increase awareness about the benefits of using sustainable transportation such as carpooling, vanpooling, riding the bus, bicycling, walking, and telecommuting.

As part of Rideshare Week, SANDAG is hosting a free workshop for employers to get the latest information on commuting. Please join SANDAG on Wednesday, October 8, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Rancho Bernardo Marriot Courtyard, 11611 Bernardo Plaza Court, San Diego, 92128.

The agenda includes presentations on:

  • Employer Starter Kit – tools to get started with a transportation benefits program
  • Telework and Flex Schedule options for today’s workplace
  • MTS EcoPass – great transit savings for your employees
  • Vanpool Savings – SANDAG provides $400 monthly subsidy for qualified participants
  • I-15 corridor improvements and commute choices

Rideshare Week 2008 is a great time for local companies to consider new commute options for employees. SANDAG can help design programs for the workplace such as vanpooling, carpooling, riding transit, or bicycling. SANDAG helps small, medium, and large companies in the San Diego region customize transportation benefits programs and realize great tax savings.
