Listen live to September 14 Draft 2007 RTP
RTP public hearing

A public hearing on the Draft 2007 Regional Transportation Plan, Air Quality Conformity Analysis, and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2007, at 10 a.m. during the SANDAG Board of Directors meeting.

Members of the public may listen live to this hearing by accessing the ‘Listen Live’ link from the SANDAG Web site home page approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. This link also is available approximately 15 minutes prior to all SANDAG Board of Directors, Transportation Committee, Regional Planning Committee, Borders Committee, and Public Safety Committee meetings held at SANDAG.

The SANDAG Board of Directors accepted the Draft 2007 RTP, Air Quality Conformity Analysis, and EIR for distribution and public comment on Friday, June 22, 2007. These documents are available for review at www.sandag.org/2007rtp. Required by state and federal regulations, the RTP is the public policy component of the SANDAG Regional Comprehensive Plan for how people and goods will move around the region through the year 2030.

Written comments on the Draft 2007 RTP and Air Quality Conformity Analysis prepared for the 2007 RTP will be accepted via letter, fax, or e-mail and must be received no later than September 17, 2007, addressed to SANDAG, Attention: Rachel Kennedy, Associate Planner, 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101; fax (619) 699-1905; or e-mail at rtp@sandag.org.

The Draft 2007 RTP EIR was released on August 21, 2007. Written comments on the Draft EIR will be accepted via letter, fax, or e-mail and must be received no later than October 5, 2007, addressed to SANDAG, Attention: Shelby Tucker, Associate Planner, 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101; fax (619) 699-1905; or e-mail at stu@sandag.org.

The SANDAG Board will be asked to certify the 2007 RTP Final Environmental Impact Report, make a finding of conformity of the 2007 RTP, and adopt the Final 2007 RTP at its regularly scheduled meeting at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2007.
