North County Transit District (NCTD) will offer Chargers football fans BREEZE Express Bus service to Qualcomm Stadium via inland and coastal routes for the upcoming 2005 season. BREEZE Chargers Express bus riders will arrive at Qualcomm at least 40 minutes prior to the start of home games. Convenient pickup points are located along the I-5 and I-15 corridors, departing 2 hours and15 minutes before game time from Oceanside, and 2 hours prior to game time from Escondido. For the Monday night game on October 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, buses serving both routes will leave 30 minutes earlier than normal due to heavier traffic conditions.
Round-trip Chargers Express bus fares for adults are $10, one-way is $5; Youth fares for those 12 and under are $2 round-trip, with one-way fares at $1. Special fares or passes are NOT accepted for the BREEZE Chargers Express bus. All fares must be paid in cash. The fare boxes accept $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills and exact fare is needed.

NCTD supplies public transportation for all of North San Diego County. The BREEZE has a fleet of 165 buses covering 53 fixed routes including four COASTER Connection routes. The COASTER commuter rail service operates at eight stations between Oceanside and San Diego. It includes seven locomotives and 28 bi-level passenger train cars providing 122 trips each week.
