TransNet Dashboard Web site scores high with public
With nearly 40,000 page views between August 9 and 18, and an average of nearly 1,700 page views per day, the Dashboard is keeping the public updated on TransNet-funded transportation projects.

The latest edition of the SANDAG info bulletin series provides a unique look at the interrelated industries that help to sustain the region’s diverse economy.

SANDAG expands Speakers Bureau
SANDAG is pleased to announce the expansion of its Speakers Bureau — a public service to keep the region updated on the variety of programs and projects the agency is implementing.

COASTER ridership continues to rise
During the month of August, the COASTER train moved 161,067 passengers, a new single month record. Ridership during the month was up more than eight percent over August 2005.

The latest report from the SANDAG Criminal Justice Research Division indicates that ethnicity, age, and gender are related to the likelihood of being a violent crime victim or suspect, consistent with findings at the national level.

North County welcomes the SPRINTER
The North County Transit District recently celebrated the arrival of the first of 12 SPRINTER trains to its Vehicle Maintenance Facility in Escondido with the first official unveiling of the SPRINTER Diesel Multiple Unit.
