The RideLink Commuter Benefit Starter Kit includes a simple, three-step process to help employers identify their company's commute needs, design a custom program, and roll it out to their employees.

Carpoolers win commuter video contest
To promote ridesharing during the month of October, SANDAG challenged San Diegans to make a change to their commute, then shoot a one-minute video about their experience and enter it in the Express Your Commute video contest.

SANDAG Executive Director testifies before Congress
SANDAG Executive Director Gary Gallegos was one of 15 witnesses invited on Wednesday, October 29, to testify before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee in Washington, D.C., in a convened hearing titled “Investing in Infrastructure: The Road to Recovery.” 

Arrests decline along with crime rate
Total arrests in San Diego County have trended downward over the last several years, just as the overall crime rate has dropped slowly but steadily, according to a SANDAG study, Arrests 2007: Law Enforcement Response to Crime in the San Diego Region.

2008 population estimates released
SANDAG has released 2008 population and demographic estimates for its Web-based Profile Warehouse and Data Warehouse applications.

October Board of Directors meeting actions available online
The next SANDAG Board of Directors business meeting is scheduled for Friday December 19, 2008, at 9 a.m. Members of the public not in attendance may listen live to this meeting by accessing the "Listen Live" link from the SANDAG Web site home page approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
