Bike lockers help ease commute RideLink

Did you know SANDAG provides free bicycle lockers at most transit centers and various Park and Ride lots throughout San Diego County, allowing you to leave your bike in
a secure location while you are at work?

Given that May is Bike to Work Month, it’s
a perfect time to try commuting on your bicycle.

When you bike back and forth to a transit center and use a free bike locker, you will save money on gas, store your bicycle safely, and help the environment, all while getting exercise and saving yourself the hassle of carrying your bike and equipment onto transit.

Lockers are available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis and can be obtained by signing up for an iCommute account and clicking on the “Commuter Services” tab.

There are currently almost 1,000 lockers at more than 60 locations throughout the county. Many locations still have availability, including Park and Ride lots and at COASTER, SPRINTER, and Trolley stations. While this service is free, there is a refundable deposit of $25.

If you’d like to get a bike locker or ask questions about the program, e-mail the bike locker coordinator or call 511 and say “RideLink.”
