Bike to Work Day is May 18 Bike to Work Day

With more than 1,000 miles of bikeways in the San Diego region, bicycling is an excellent alternative to driving. It gets you out of the daily traffic grind and on the road to a healthier, less stressful commute. This means that you’ll be more energetic when you get to work and more relaxed when you’re ready to unwind at the day’s end. Join RideLink on May 18 for Bike to Work Day 2007 — see how fun and rewarding making a change in your commute can be!

During the month of May, RideLink promotes and celebrates biking to work as a way to get to work, thank those who currently ride, and encourage new participation. San Diego Bike to Work Day 2006 attracted more than 5,500 participants biking to work!

Be sure to tell all of your friends to bike to work on May 18 and register online. Check back here on a regular basis to get updates on Bike to Work events and Pit Stop locations where you can rest and refuel with lots of free goodies while making your way to work.

If you need more information about biking to work or about Bike to Work Day, please e-mail RideLink at biking@sandag.org or call 511 and ask for RideLink.
