TransNet Update 2009 
SANDAG recently released TransNet Update 2009 to inform the public about the TransNet half-cent sales tax program. TransNet, the local half-cent sales tax for transportation projects, is a major infrastructure success story – building highways throughout San Diego County; financing more than 800 local road projects; and expanding regional transit with miles of new trolley and commuter rail lines.
This annual update highlights work completed through 2008, and it reports on the status of other ongoing major projects funded all or in part by TransNet.
