SANDAG recently released several brochures designed to inform the public about the recently adopted Regional Transportation Plan, the TransNet half-cent sales tax program, and the 2006 American Community Survey.

2030 San Diego Regional Transportation Plan: Pathways for the Future (PDF) – Ask anyone what’s the biggest problem in San Diego, and you’ll probably hear “traffic.” However, if we have learned anything in the last decade, it’s that we can’t build our way out of traffic congestion. This leaves us at a crossroads – the road less traveled may be our pathway for the future.

TransNet Update 2008 (PDF) – TransNet, the local half-cent sales tax for transportation projects, is a success story – adding more than 227 lane miles of highway; financing more than 800 local road projects; and expanding regional transit with 105 miles of Trolley and commuter rail lines. This annual update highlights projects completed through 2007, and reports on the status of other ongoing major projects funded by TransNet.

info - 2006 American Community Survey (PDF) – As the state-designated Regional Census Data Center for the San Diego region, SANDAG is committed to providing the latest information about census data. The American Community Survey (ACS) is a new survey that will provide annual demographic data for communities across the nation, including the San Diego region. This is the second in a series of annual ACS SANDAG info bulletins that will be updated with the latest data and information.

A majority of SANDAG publications are posted to www.sandag.org in PDF format.
