Join bicycle commuters across the region on May 16, as the 12th Annual San Diego Regional Bike to Work Day takes to the streets. Over 4,000 cyclists are expected to escape from their cars and arrive at work relaxed and energized.
The San Diego Regional Bike to Work Day is part of the statewide California Bike Commute Week, May 12 through 16, 2003. The event's purpose is to showcase bicycling as a viable form of transportation to the workplace and to promote safe bicycle commuting.
Registration is free. Commuters may register by calling 1-800-COMMUTE, (select option 3). Commuters can win great prizes like Haro Mountain Bikes, Bike to Work Day t-shirts, San Diego Zoo passes, and Souplantation dinners.
Bike to Work Day is brought to you by SANDAG and is presented by the San Diego County Credit Union.
