Summer Cruisin' with MTS

MTS busSchool’s out for summer and that means flip-flops, shorts, and the smell of sun block will abound in San Diego. And, just in time for summer, MTS will launch its new bus service, providing a great way to get to Pacific Beach and Mission Beach without having to deal with agonizing traffic or that long quest for a parking space.

Routes 8/9 will provide service in both directions every 15 minutes to Sea World, Belmont Park, and other beach area attractions directly from the Old Town Transit Center where there is ample and free parking. And that’s not all. MTS also has revamped its routes to Ocean Beach (Route 35) and La Jolla (Route 30) for beachgoers to check out.

For those who prefer the downtown spotlight, the Route 992 will connect Ocean Beach to the Gaslamp Quarter, providing fast and convenient service to some of the major attractions in the area, including the Star of India, Lindbergh Field, the cruise ship terminal, the USS Midway, Horton Plaza, and other great downtown destinations.

These are only two of the highlights from recent MTS improvements. For more information on the new MTS network of bus routes, contact 1-800-COMMUTE or visit the COA Web site.
