SANDAG year in review, 2009
In spite of the tough economic times that have affected revenues, SANDAG and the region overall managed to achieve many successes in 2009 – ranging from the opening of the latest piece of I-15 Express Lanes, to low crime rates, to the launch of the region’s new transit smart card.

The Diamond Awards honor companies, organizations, and individuals for their outstanding contributions to reducing traffic congestion and improving mobility in the San Diego region. The applications are due February 12, 2010.

SR 76 widening begins
Work began in early January on the widening of SR 76 between Melrose and Mission Avenues from two lanes to four.

January Board of Directors meeting actions available online
The next SANDAG Board of Directors business meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 19, 2010, at 9 a.m. Members of the public not in attendance may listen live to this meeting by accessing the "Listen Live" link from the SANDAG Web site home page approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
