Are you interested in the health of the region’s beaches? Please join us at the San Diego Regional Sediment Management Workshop on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the SANDAG Board Room to provide input on the Coastal Regional Sediment Management Plan.

The Management Plan is intended to formulate consensus-driven regional sediment management guidance and policy, in order to:

  • Restore and maintain coastal beaches and other critical areas of sediment deficit or excess;
  • Reduce the proliferation of protective shoreline structures;
  • Sustain recreation and tourism;
  • Enhance public safety and access; and
  • Restore coastal sandy habitats.
