Diamond Awards recognize RideLink
local ridesharing leaders

The Diamond Awards honor organizations and individuals for their outstanding contributions to reducing traffic congestion and improving mobility in the San Diego region. Award winners promote alternatives to driving alone including vanpooling, carpooling, use of public transit, teleworking, walking, biking, or a combination of these. Some also provide incentives, subsidies, or pre-tax deductions to their employees for their participation in eligible programs. Diamond Award winners will be honored at the March 27, 2009, SANDAG Board of Directors meeting.

Opportunities to sponsor this annual event have just been announced, offering companies a unique promotional venue to reach thousands of people across the region. The organizing committee is relying on support from sponsors to help make this 7th annual Diamond Awards event a great success. All levels of support are welcome, and all proceeds will go to support the event and other regional ridesharing program outreach for the SANDAG RideLink program.

$2,000 and up
  • Program ad and Web site listing with logo and link to company’s Web site

  • Inclusion in special advertorial about the event’s sponsors highlighting their company

  • Listing in all media releases to all major print and Web news media outlets in San Diego and SANDAG e-newsletter with 4,000 distribution

  • Company name acknowledged during event presentation at  SANDAG Board of Directors Meeting, March 27, 2009

  • Special invitation to pre-event continental breakfast with winners and select SANDAG Board members

$1,500 to $1,999
  • Program ad and Web site listing with logo and link to company’s Web site

Nominations for the awards are received from businesses, organizations, agencies, and individuals across the region that promote vanpooling, carpooling, use of public transit, teleworking, walking and biking to work.
