Draft 2007 RTP available for comment Draft 2007 RTP

The SANDAG Board of Directors accepted the Draft 2007 RTP for distribution and public comment on Friday, June 22, 2007. Required by state and federal regulations, the RTP is the public policy component of the SANDAG Regional Comprehensive Plan for how people and goods will move around the region through the year 2030. This document is available for review at www.sandag.org/2007rtp.

Public workshops to solicit public comment and participation on the Draft 2007 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) were held throughout the region in July at the Encinitas Community Center; Balboa Park War Memorial Building; Chula Vista City Hall; San Marcos Community Center; and Ronald Reagan Community Center in El Cajon.

A public hearing on the Draft RTP and EIR is scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2007, at SANDAG, with final comments due by Monday, September 17, 2007. The Final 2007 RTP and EIR are scheduled to come to the Board for adoption in November 2007.
