SANDAG helps San Diego RideLink
Stand for Less

On April 8, 2009, SANDAG participated in the launch event for Stand For Less campaign. This statewide effort aims to increase conservation and reduce greenhouse gas-inducing habits in four areas: transportation, water, electricity, and recycling. SANDAG educated event-goers on how to “stand for less” solo drivers on the road by sharing information on carpooling, vanpooling, transit walking, and cycling. California Department of Conservation Director Bridgett Luther spoke and San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders addressed hundreds of guests who attended the event and spoke about the importance of doing more with less. Actor and activist Ed Begley Jr. hosted educational workshops and gave tips on how to Stand For Less.
