San Diego region ready with economic stimulus package
To quickly apply for any funds that may be made available in a federal stimulus package, SANDAG and its partner agencies have taken proactive steps to be immediately ready.
Mid-Coast corridor transit project update
The Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project will extend San Diego Trolley service from the Old Town Transit Center to University City, serving major activity centers such as the University of California, San Diego and University Towne Centre.
Fare increase effective January 1
Effective January 1, 2009, various regional passes for travel on North County Transit District and Metropolitan Transit System services will be increasing.
$9.7 million available for smart growth projects
SANDAG is seeking excellent projects for the first funding cycle of the new TransNet Smart Growth Incentive Program, which will distribute $9.7 million to local municipalities next year to help pay for improvements that support compact, transit-oriented development.
